1. Locate the filter location
Automotive filters are usually installed on the wall of the machine compartment near the fuel tank or under the engine, and the first thing you need to do is find the location of the filter.
2. Prepare the tools
Before replacing the filter, you need to prepare a filter wrench and some other tools, such as cloth and lubricating oil.
3. Disassemble the old filter
Insert the filter wrench into the old filter and rotate it counterclockwise to loosen the old filter. During this process, pay attention to placing some cloth under the old filter to avoid staining the work area when the old filter drips oil.
4. Check the old filter
After removing the old filter, it needs to be inspected for breakage or other damage, and if there is a problem, it needs to be replaced in time.
5. Install the new filter
Place the new filter in the mounting position and screw it on by hand, stopping the rotation when the filter touches the bottom. Tighten it with a filter wrench afterwards.
